•your disk is encrypted with a key stored on the boot partition, so it powers on unattended; use the boot menu's Set/Change encryption password entry if you want a passphrase.
•if you installed onto part of the disk, use the Resize storage boot entry to grow the root filesystem.

What it is:: the modern, touch-friendly desktop. Minimal by default: a top bar, a full-screen app grid, and gestures. Fewer knobs than KDE, more polish out of the box.
Who it suits:: people who want the desktop out of the way and the machine to feel finished without configuring anything. The daily driver.
First minutes:: press Super to see the app grid; the Installer, VM Manager and Backuper are in the menu. GNOME hides most options behind Extensions and Tweaks — that is intentional.
Expect:: the heaviest of our three desktops in memory. Give it ~4 GiB to be comfortable (guidance, not a benchmark).
