Reads the stick back to verify the write, shows progress and ejects the device safely.

Same as the USB command, pointing at the internal disk (for example /dev/nvme0n1). Warning: this erases that disk.
Use the Installeur réseau (ISO) disc on the download page — there is no separate VPS download.

3 · Démarrer et installer
Redémarrez, choisissez la clé USB, puis sélectionnez Live Desktop pour essayer ou Install takhiOS pour installer. Fonctionne en BIOS et en UEFI.

Quand l'utiliser
- •the everyday computer — browsing, documents, media, and the takhiOS tools (Installer, VM Manager, Backuper) out of the box.
- •you want the desktop to work without configuring it, and a machine that can also boot and clone itself.
Quand ne pas l'utiliser
- •old or low-memory hardware — take Xfce instead.
- •you want to tune every detail of the shell — KDE is a better fit.
Premier démarrage
- •the Installer, VM Manager and Backuper are in the app grid (Super).
- •your disk is encrypted with a key stored on the boot partition, so it powers on unattended; use the boot menu's Set/Change encryption password entry if you want a passphrase.
- •if you installed onto part of the disk, use the Resize storage boot entry to grow the root filesystem.

- What it is:
- the modern, touch-friendly desktop. Minimal by default: a top bar, a full-screen app grid, and gestures. Fewer knobs than KDE, more polish out of the box.
- Who it suits:
- people who want the desktop out of the way and the machine to feel finished without configuring anything. The daily driver.
- First minutes:
- press Super to see the app grid; the Installer, VM Manager and Backuper are in the menu. GNOME hides most options behind Extensions and Tweaks — that is intentional.
- Expect:
- the heaviest of our three desktops in memory. Give it ~4 GiB to be comfortable (guidance, not a benchmark).
